The Ruby Pope-Drumm Health Sciences Library is open to all members of the Riverside Health community, offering a variety of resources to students, health care professionals, faculty, medical staff and residents, employees and members of the community.
The library was originally established in 1922 and was later named in honor of one of Riverside College of Health Sciences most influential Aluma, Ruby Pope-Drumm. Ruby was a 1948 graduate of what was then the Riverside School of Professional Nursing and went on to serve for more than 20 years in the air force. She stayed in close contact with the school and never forgot her time and experiences with Riverside.
The welcoming library staff is available to aid patrons with medical and nursing literature searches and take in-person requests, during normal business hours, or requests by phone, fax or email.

ABOG
The library will provide articles required for the ACOG continuing education modules. Please email us if you want to be added to this service. Service subscribers will be notified each time new readings are posted and provided with the password. The articles are posted electronically and cannot be delivered via courier or mail services.
Interlibrary Loan
If a journal article you need is not in our collection, we can often get it for you from another library. Interlibrary loan services are restricted to Riverside Health employees for job- related purposes. Please send a request via email or fax. Ordered items are normally received within one to three working days. Copyright laws often determine how many copies of a journal article can be made, how many articles within a certain issue can be copied, and sometimes restrict loans of certain materials. We will notify you if an article cannot be obtained through the reciprocal borrowing program.
Photocopying Requests
The library offers photocopying of journal articles for Riverside medical staff. All copies are subject to copyright guidelines.
Copying
Photocopy machines are available in the library to copy and print library materials. Copies are $.10 per page for black and white pages and $.25 for color. The library adheres to copyright compliance laws when photocopying.
The library houses two computer labs for classes and testing. The first-floor computer lab is open for patrons when not in use for classes or testing.
