- An Online, Convenient Program!
The RN-to-BSN Program offers all theory coursework online. Three (3) of the ten (10) courses include integrated, independent practicum experience components which may be accomplished in the student’s community or work setting (see the college catalog for specific course descriptions). - Short program lengths:
12 months (full-time) to 24 months (part-time), dependent on the number of courses taken during each 8-week session or semester and the number of general education co-requisites remaining.
The program includes two 16-week semesters (two 8-week sessions/semester) and one 8-week summer semester per year.
- Financial aid for those who qualify
- Concurrent enrollment is available for Riverside College of Health Sciences pre-licensure Professional Nursing students and students in good standing in an affiliated Professional Nursing associate’s degree program in the last semester of their Professional Nursing program.
Pre-application General Education Course Requirements:
- English Composition (3 Credits)
- Anatomy and Physiology I and II with Lab (8 Credits)
- Developmental Psychology (3 Credits)
- Microbiology with Lab (4 Credits)
Applicants must have earned an associate’s degree in Professional Nursing (ADN, AAS, AOS) or a Diploma in Professional Nursing and hold a current, unencumbered license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Virginia (or Compact State).
*Applicants may be considered for Concurrent Enrollment in the RN-to-BSN Program if enrolled and in good standing in an affiliated Professional Nursing associate’s degree program (successful completion of the associate degree and successful NCLEX-RN required to be eligible for conferment of the BSN regardless of courses achieved).
